  12. Welcome to Active Media Eclipse, v.3.10 the ultimate screen saver creation and
  13. distribution toolkit from Active Media Technology Limited.

  20. Active Media Eclipse v.3.0 is a major release, incorporating a number of
  21. significant new features and not least, eight brand new transitions bringing the
  22. total to 25 image processing transitions, each stunning and totally unique.

  24. Created user setup wizards are now approximately 45% smaller than those produced
  25. by v.2.1.2, these allow a distributed screen saver to be simply and quickly
  26. installed using the popular wizard format.  Active Media Eclipse v.3.0 now creates
  27. a single self-installing user setup file 'setup.exe' for simple distribution which
  28. requires absolutely no runtime libraries or baggage.  Multi-media components 
  29. incorporated into User Setup Wizard are compressed and encypted for security.
  30.  
  31. The Professional Edition now permits even greater flexibility when creating screen
  32. savers allowing the user to specify one of ten languages including English, French,
  33. German and Spanish which the User Setup Wizard will be presented to the user.
  34. Further features permit the use of a 'splash' screen prior to installation and the
  35. ability to create visually 'spoilt' screen savers that disable themselves after
  36. 'n' previews - ideal for the production of samples.

  38. New innovative features including the ability to create user setup wizards in
  39. different languages and digitally sign created screen saver setup wizards using
  40. Microsoft 'Authenticode'.  The release of NetworkEclipse allows Active Media Eclipse
  41. generated user setup wizards to be conveniently distributed across networks from
  42. a centralised copy.  No more unauthorised screen savers !

  44. By popular request 'Animation Player' incorporates support for the use of Autodesk
  45. compatible *.flc and *.fli files.  All other transitions have been significantly
  46. upgraded and have additional properties.

  186. Active Media Eclipse Evaluation

  189. The evaluation copy of Active Media Eclipse is the fully functional software allowing you
  190. to try the powerful transitions and preview your screen savers as they would appear, use 
  191. the creation wizard etc.  Any screen saver that your create will be visually spoilt with
  192. the legend 'Active Media Eclipse Evaluation Screen Saver'  ( 'n' previews left ).  The created
  193. screen saver once installed will only allow itself to be previewed ten times before it will
  194. disable itself.  When this occurs you may simply re-install the screen saver again using the
  195. created installation routine or use the same routine to de-install it.
  196.  
  197. The evaluation version of Active Media Eclipse does not allow you to specify your own
  198. organisation logo or legend for display on the installation pack and the screen saver 'about'
  199. button.  Please read the very extensive on-line help guide for further details or contact
  200. Active Media Technology.

  204. Registering Active Media Eclipse
  205. --------------------------------

  207. In order to create screen savers you must obtain a licence from Active Media Technology,
  208. this is a simple process and takes a few minutes requiring that the registration wizard is
  209. run, details completed and the information e.mailed or faxed to Active Media Technology.
  210.

  212. 1.    Run the registration wizard from within Active Media Eclipse.
  213.     Select Tools | Registration Wizard from the menu.
  214.  
  215. 2.    Complete the registration details.
  216.  
  217. 3.    Press the 'Finish' button to complete the registration process.
  218.  
  219. 4.    Either:
  220.  
  221.     a.    Print the registration document and fax it to Active Media Technology
  222.     b.    e.mail the small text file that is produced as part of the registration
  223.         sequence.
  224.  
  225. 5.    Apply the licence code that is issued by Active Media Technology.
  226.  
  227.  
  228. Please ensure that when you are registering Active Media Eclipse that you select the licence
  229. which is most appropriate to your requirements.  We advise you to read the notes on the
  230. differences between the available licences before registering.
